The Victron Battery Balancer ensures optimal performance and longevity for your series-connected 12V batteries or parallel strings of series-connected batteries. It activates when the charge voltage of a 24V system exceeds 27V, at which point it compares the voltage across the two series-connected batteries and intelligently draws up to 1A from the higher voltage battery (or parallel connected batteries). This resulting charge current differential naturally brings all batteries to the same state of charge.
